After the huge success of our Summer bootcamps, BYITC are pleased to announce that we will be offering October Holidays IT Bootcamps, for both the 9 – 13 age group, and the 13 – 16 age group.
Age 13 – 16 Bootcamps
We are offering two bootcamps for students aged 13 – 16. Our 2 and a half day Hardware and Operating Systems class will give students the knowledge to make decisions about purchasing hardware, building a PC, choosing and installing an operating system, and an overview of security concepts. This is a must not miss course for anyone interested in computers and IT. Our course is extra from the standard curriculum and will give important skills and depth of knowledge. You can see more information here.
Our second bootcamp is 3D Games Development. This 2 day class will cover an overview of the popular AAA games engine Unreal Development Kit (UDK). If you are interested in creating 3D games, then this course will give you a great overview of this area, and the skills learned in using UDK are transferrable to other 3D Games Development toolkits. You can see more information here.
Age 9 – 13 Bootcamps
Our popular aged 9 – 13 bootcamps make a return. Firstly, our 3 day Games Development bootcamp will give your child programming skills but taught in a fun and engaging way, using games, which kids (and adults!) love. We cover a number of programming basics from variables, booleans and decisions, and also use the popular 2D toolkit Stencyl. You can see more information here.
Our second, 2 day bootcamp for younger learners covers web development. This class will teach your child the basics of HTML5 and CSS3, allowing for them to use their creativity to create a website in a straightforward and understandable manner. You can see more information here.
